On Wednesday June 27th 2018 “The Great Edinburgh Volcano Escape” a Happy Ears/Kaimes production was nominated at the Edinburgh Film Festival school awards for “Best original idea”. Well done film makers Jack, Josiah and Amber and thanks to Chelsea and Guri. Here’s a picture of us enjoying the sunshine outside the filmhouse after the ceremony.

I am just finishing up all my work in schools this week. Its been a long school year, In which I have visited 18 schools running ukulele lessons, songwriting groups, guitar clubs, animation workshops and generally singing a lot. Its fair to say the academic year 2017/18 has been quite a journey.
There will be a 0-3s Happy Ears class at St Margarets on Saturday 24th June so see you there.

I run music Happy Ears sessions at Kaimes school for children with ASN and have done so for 8 years.
Class 13H are already thinking about their holidays and here’s a song and video created this term as part of an interdisciplinary project . We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it:

We have recently had a piano free-for-all at the end of every Saturday Happy Ears class. The church has a great (aptly named) baby grand which we have kindly been given permission to use. Good for hand-eye co-ordination, cognitive development and general good fun music making.
See you next week
